What we do

Two practices, one discipline. Both take something whose value is real and build the path that lets someone else recognise it.

For asset holders & their funders

Commercialization Advisory

Research produces assets that are technically credible and commercially unformed. In most of the world an infrastructure exists to close that gap — technology transfer offices, commercialization funds, specialist counsel, deep-tech investors.

In much of the world it does not. An inventor with a filed patent, a real result, and a looming international deadline has no one to call.

MotusBridge is that call. We establish what the asset is worth, who would genuinely buy it, and what has to be true before anyone will pay for it.

Phase one

Commercialization Assessment

A fixed-scope review that establishes whether the asset survives contact with a sophisticated buyer. Technical claim assessment against the benchmarks a real counterparty will apply. Intellectual property position and chain of title. Counterparty map organised by adoption mechanism rather than by company name. Valuation range under sale and licensing models.

The output is a scored readiness index and a clear recommendation — including, where warranted, a recommendation not to proceed.

Three to four weeks · Fixed fee

Phase two

Readiness & Structuring

Closing the gaps the assessment identified. Independent validation planning and vendor selection. International filing strategy and prosecution management. Entity formation and clean assignment of rights. Capital plan and counterparty-ready materials.

Four to eight months · Monthly retainer

Phase three

Go-to-Market Execution

Building the route and walking it. Counterparty engagement and qualification. Licence, joint development, and sale negotiations. Partnership structuring and transaction support through to signature.

Twelve months and forward · Retainer, revenue participation, and equity

Engagements are sequential. We do not begin Phase Two before Phase One has produced a verdict, and we do not take a go-to-market mandate for an asset we have not assessed.

For founders & growing companies

Strategic Business Development

Most commercial leaders can get you into the meeting. Institutional deals do not die in the meeting — they die four months later in vendor risk review, when the security questionnaire arrives, when procurement asks about concentration, when compliance wants the model documentation.

We build the commercial function that gets you through it, and we build it to be owned by your team rather than dependent on ours.

Advisory

Senior direction

For companies with a commercial team that needs experienced leadership rather than additional headcount. Diagnostic, forecast discipline, deal review, and introductions where they matter.

Embedded

The function, built

For companies with no institutional business development capability. The full method — diagnosis through operation — including account mapping, buying committee architecture, process installation, and diligence readiness.

Install

Built and transferred

For companies scaling toward a full-time commercial leader. Everything in Embedded, plus documented methodology transfer so the hire inherits a function that already works.

Capacity is capped at six active engagements.

A capability, not a practice

Capital access

Two decades of institutional relationships sit behind every engagement. Where the work reaches a point that requires capital, we make the introductions that make sense.

MotusBridge Partners, LLC is not compensated for those introductions and does not act as a placement agent, finder, or broker. The introduction is part of the engagement, not a separate transaction.

We think that is the right structure. It means the advice you receive about whether to raise, when, and from whom is not shaped by what we would earn if you did.
